Love at first drizzle!
Today, I made brunch for my momma and I, serving up these delicious orange infused waffles. Fresh tasting, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness - it is safe to say we are both in love. Citrus fruits are in season during the winter months making this is a perfect recipe to kick off your 2018.

Serves: 5 - 6, 4 inch square waffles
Ingredients:
1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon granulate sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup non-dairy milk
2 Tablespoons allergy free butter substitute, melted (I use Earth Balance)
1 egg replacer
1/4 cup pure 100% orange juice with pulp
Directions:
Heat your waffle maker.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the non-dairy milk, allergy free butter substitute, egg replacer, and orange juice.
Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
Let the batter rest for 5 minutes. Spray the waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray and pour in the batter. Cook the waffles according to the instructions for your waffle maker. To keep waffles warm, preheat the oven oven to 200°F.
To serve, place two waffles onto each plate. Cut and place orange wedges and banana slices on top of the waffles. Finish them off with a drizzle of raw local honey and orange zest.
